The first time someone told me about Mozzarella Fella I was like “hell yeah, let’s do this!”
That was almost three years ago.
I was working out of the HuB, and according to Christine Alexander, “I just had to try them!” So I did. And I loved it. Then I went back for more. Again, and again, and again.
It didn’t hurt that the first time I ever walked into the restaurant, Victoria, one of the owners was like, “Oh my God! I just subscribed to your videos on YouTube!” and I was like “Oh MY god! For real? No Way!” Then I blushed. A lot.
It was the first time someone had recognized me in the real world, from my online activities. After a short chat, I knew we were going to be best buds. Now, every time I go in, it just feels like I’m part of the family coming to grab some grub.
So much so, that one day, I asked the Fellas if they would make me a custom sandwich. Nothing fancy, just my own combination of their existing ingredients, and that was when I fell in love. Not just with the sandwich itself, but with the way they ran their business and treated their customers.
What’s on the Ray-Ray?
Fried chicken cutlets with shaved ham, melted swiss cheese, tomato, onion, and pesto mayo, all served on top of their fresh baked Italian bread.
Next stop Mozzarella Fellas!
Let me know what you think
Great article!
Thanks Teddy. It’s an even better sandwich.
I don’t spend a ton of time downtown… but the next time I’m around there at lunchtime, I’m trying the Ray Ray!
You definitely should. You won’t be disappointed!
Give me the veal cutlet, eggplant and that balsamic drizzle anytime of day, I LOVE this place too Awesome job Michael and Vicki
I’m obviously partial to the Ray-Ray, but all of their sandwiches are pretty freaking dope!
